Terms of use
Draft version to be validated by a lawyer before launch. By using Loca Loca you accept the rules below.
1. Role of the platform
Loca Loca is a matchmaking service. The rental agreement is made directly between owner and renter, outside the platform, under their sole responsibility. Loca Loca is not a party to the rental, collects no payment and guarantees neither the condition of items nor the fulfilment of commitments.
2. Account
One account per person, with accurate information. The phone number is never shown publicly. Identity verification is optional and grants the Verified badge after review.
3. Listings
The owner sets the terms (price, deposit, handover, verified renter preferred) and warrants that the item belongs to them or that they are allowed to rent it out. Forbidden: illegal items, counterfeits, misleading listings, stolen photos, offensive content. Listings go live immediately and are moderated afterwards.
4. Contact and safety
Contact goes through the platform's messaging. Never pay in advance, never share banking details, meet the person and check the item before paying in person. Messages are kept and may be reviewed by the administration in case of a dispute.
5. Reviews
A review is only possible after a rental confirmed by the owner. Reviews are revealed simultaneously (double blind) or after 7 days. False or abusive reviews are removed.
6. Disputes and sanctions
Parties first try to settle between themselves. The administration may examine a dispute based on available elements and apply graded sanctions: profile signal, warning, suspension, ban. Serious cases (theft, fraud) may be forwarded to the authorities.
7. Paid boost
The boost is a paid visibility option for a fixed duration. It is non-refundable once activated, except for a service outage attributable to Loca Loca.
8. Liability
Loca Loca cannot be held liable for damage, loss or disagreements arising from a rental between users. The service is provided as is.
9. Termination
You can deactivate or delete your account at any time. Loca Loca may suspend or close an account in case of breach of these terms.
